My Therapeutic Approach

Integrative Therapy

As an Integrative counsellor I use this approach which  is highly collaborative and individualised and integrates various theoretical models in order to suit the needs of each clients’ individual learning style, personality, and lifestyle.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

I use Cognitive Behavioural approaches when working with clients facing various mental health challenges. This evidence-based therapy focuses on identifying and altering negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. By empowering clients to recognize and reframe these thoughts, we can work together to develop healthier coping mechanisms and improve overall well-being.

Person-Centred Therapy

I offer a bespoke, person centred approach that is centred around the needs of each client. I use the core conditions of counselling - empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence and believe that these conditions offer a safe and healing space for people from all backgrounds, and abilities.

Psychodynamic

I use a psychodynamic approach, which focuses on understanding the unconscious processes that shape thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Looking at past experiences and emotional conflicts, this can help clients gain insight into their current challenges.
